The town is named after Guillaume Chazel, a Canadian soldier who died in 1725.
Located near the Chazel and Courval lakes, the town is a picturesque vacation destination. Steeped in historical interest, it has an interpretation center and a private historical collection on display inside Maison Turgeon, a beautifully preserved farmhouse.
Chazel is a favorite with people in search of idyllic nature!
