Description
Laid out in the heart of a mixed forest, the Grand-Héron hiking trails are embellished with thirteen (13) interpretation panels dealing with fauna and flora. Gradually, as you climb the hill, the trees are replaced by rocky outcrops covered in shrubs and moss. A 10 m high observation tower and a belvedere located at the top of the hill offer a superb view of the islands of Macamic Lake, one of which is home to a heronry, and the surrounding region. Bird lovers and ornithologists, bring your binoculars! Walking shoes are recommended.
